Since
the start of the European Journal of Navigation (EJN) in
2003 on the initiative of the
Nordic Navigation Forum (NNF), the German Institute of Navigation (DGON) and the
Netherlands Institute of Navigation (NIN) it became clear that that the Journal complied with
the requirements of the founding members.
During the following years we extended a hearty welcome to the Swiss Institute of Navigation (ION-CH),
the Austrian Institute of Navigation (OVN), the Polish Navigation Forum (PNF) and the
Portugal Institute of Navigation (PIN).
The European Journal of Navigation has now become the leading Journal for Systems, Services and Applications.
The
Netherlands Institute of Navigation expressed its
willingness to act as Responsible Party
for the first three years (2003-2005). The following period (2006-2008)
the Netherlands Institute of Navigation was also responsible for the editing of the Journal.
Currently the EJN is published under the responsibility of the Maritime University of Szczecin, Poland.
Mr. Arkadiusz Tomczak is the managing editor.
Members of the participating Institutes receive the EJN as part of their membership.
Non-members are invited to contact the Netherlands Institute of Navigation by e-mail at
dirnin@navnin.nl.
Both
members and non-members are invited to contribute to the Journal
by placing an article or an advertisement.
